Background: The rehabilitation and reintegration of patients with chronic mental health disorders is achieved solely through a combination of evidence-based interventions, namely pharmacotherapy and cognitive behavioral psychotherapy, and rehabilitation aimed at recovery.
Methods: Two newly developed evidence-based treatments, the RECOVERYTRSGR for treatment-resistant schizophrenia and the RECOVERYTRSBDGR for treatment-resistant bipolar disorder, which were developed by our research teams and published in 2024 will be presented.
Results: The clinical experience with these therapies will be presented.
Conclusions: two newly developed recovery-oriented therapies for chronic mental health disorders will be presented and discussed.

Dr. Stavroula Rakitzi is a clinical psychologist, and cognitive behavioral psychotherapist is Athens Greece and works in her own private practice. She published papers and books during the last years and conducts research protocols regarding the efficacy and effectiveness of the combination of pharmacotherapy and cognitive behavioral psychotherapy and rehabilitation. She offers lectures regarding clinical psychology and cognitive behavioral psychotherapy at her own private practice or at universities. She offers also supervision to colleagues, who are participating in the training of cognitive behavioral psychotherapy.
