Dr. Alex Altamirano graduated from medical school at the age of 25 and began his specialty training in Neurology at the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery in Havana, earning his specialist degree at 28. He has over 10 years of clinical experience, during which he completed a clinical epileptology fellowship awarded by the International League Against Epilepsy in Buenos Aires. He also earned a Master’s degree in Epilepsy from the University of Murcia. He is the principal author of several publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. His main research interests include epilepsy and neuroimaging.
