Western University, Canada

Biography:

He received my M.Sc. degree in optoelectronics from the Military University of Technology, Warsaw, in 2008 and Ph.D. from the Nalecz Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering, Polish Academy of Sciences in 2014. After his Ph.D. he has started working as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Medical Biophysics at Western University and a researcher in the Imaging Division of the Lawson Health Research Institute in London, Canada. In 2016 he received Fellowship from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. He has a strong background in designing and constructing optical systems, modelling light propagation through tissue, contrast-enhanced optical methods, and applying these methods to human studies. His work is focused on developing inexpensive and portable optical technologies (especially time-domain optical brain imaging, functional near-infrared spectroscopy, and diffuse correlation spectroscopy) that can provide a rapid bedside assessment of brain function and health.

Research Interest: Developing inexpensive and portable optical technologies that can provide a rapid bedside assessment of brain function and health.
